Denmark's New Ambassador to India Presents Credentials to the President of India

Denmark's new Ambassador to India, H.E. Mr. Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen, officially presented his credentials to the President of India, Her Excellency Smt Droupadi Murmu, at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on February 20, 2025. Ambassador Kristensen was among the five envoys who submitted their letters of credence, formally marking the beginning of their respective ambassadorships in India.

Ambassador Kristensen has previously served as Denmark’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Papua New Guinea, and ASEAN from 2017 to 2020. As the head of the Danish mission in India, Ambassador Kristensen will oversee and enhance the robust bilateral relationship between Denmark and India, focusing on political, economic, commercial, and cultural cooperation, and assisting India’s green transformation and sustainable development through the Green Strategic Partnership.

Under Ambassador Kristensen’s leadership, the Embassy of Denmark in India will continue to work towards strengthening these ties and fostering new opportunities for collaboration.
