India-Denmark Joint Action Plan (2021-2026)

On 28 September 2020, Prime Minister of India H.E. Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of Denmark H.E. Mette Frederiksen launched a Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Green Strategic Partnership between the Government of India and the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark.

The Green Strategic Partnership expands and strengthen significantly the bilateral relations and cooperation between India and Denmark who established diplomatic relations more than 70 years ago, whereas the first trade relations were established 400 years ago. Our partnership is underpinned by mutual interests, common values and a commitment to upholding the rules-based international system.

This Joint Action Plan has been drawn up to follow up on the joint statement from the Prime Ministers as mentioned above. It covers the main areas and mechanism for cooperation, reflecting the width and depth of the strategic partnership between India and Denmark being implemented through the mechanism of the Joint Commission and its Joint Working Groups.
