Strategic Sector Cooperation Section

The Department for Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) at the Embassy fosters partnerships to address shared challenges and promote sustainable development, and plays a central role in implementing the Green Strategic Partnership between Denmark and India. By focusing on shared priorities such as sustainability, climate action, and green growth, the SSC is a key driver in the strengthening Indo-Danish bilateral ties.

Our work is anchored in partnerships across sectors, leveraging expertise in currently seven sectors, namely renewable energy, water management, health, urban development, maritime, food and agriculture as well as intellectual property rights. Through joint projects, the SSC ensures that solutions are tailored to local needs and aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

A key element of the SSC is its focus on capacity-building. We emphasize knowledge transfer and technical assistance, enabling stakeholders to adopt and adapt best practices. This approach ensures long-term sustainability and ownership of the initiatives and outcomes.

Furthermore, the SSC facilitates mutual benefits, creating opportunities for industries, researchers, and experts to engage bilaterally and internationally. Through the collaboration, we drive innovation and deliver impactful results for both nations.

Additionally, the SSC serves as a platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange, hosting seminars, workshops, and events that bring stakeholders together to share insights and co-create solutions. These activities create open discussion and networking that can drive progress.

Through its role as the key driving force of the Green Strategic Partnership, the Department for Strategic Sector Cooperation contributes to a more sustainable and prosperous future and strong ties between Denmark and India – to help tackle some of the most pressing global challenges.
