Invest in Denmark is looking for an investment manager with experience in the investment promotion field to strengthen its activities among Indian companies.

This challenging and fulfilling job at Invest in Denmark in Bengaluru offers an international environment and a unique opportunity to interact with C-level executives, senior officials and executives in some of India’s most important & exciting technology and Clean Energy companies. The office is also responsible for our activities in Singapore. Salary according to qualifications and experience and subject to conditions of employment for locally employed personnel at Invest in Denmark. The investment manager will become a member of the team for investment promotion at the Consulate General of Denmark, which consists of two investment managers.

The main objective is to facilitate investment in Denmark by Indian companies. Your role as investment manager will be to identify, contact and cultivate contacts with Indian companies and relevant organizations and associations. You will work closely together with colleagues in Denmark and the rest of Asia as well as colleagues at the Consulate in Bengaluru and the Embassy in New Delhi.

The Consulate in Bengaluru houses the Innovation Centre Denmark as well as colleagues focussing on Export from Denmark and is one of Denmark’s newest offices around the globe. With a new focus on Green Diplomacy, the investment manager will also have a special focus to attract green investments.

The main tasks and responsibilities as Investment Manager include, but are not limited to:

Promote Denmark as an investment destination to Indian companies by organizing and implementing one-on-one company meetings, marketing events & webinars targeting potential investors.

Conduct aftercare meetings in Denmark and India with companies that already have established a business presence in Denmark.

Collaborate actively with colleagues from Invest in Denmark in relevant focus groups, both in Asia and in Denmark.

Be an active member of relevant Trade & Innovation colleagues in India and participate in strategic projects within the Consulate of Denmark in Bengaluru and the Embassy of Denmark in New Delhi.

Effectively use marketing budgets to organise events and webinars to build awareness and generate leads.

Required qualifications

People skills and strong English language capability is a must. The role requires travel in India and offers the opportunity to travel to Denmark as well.

In-depth knowledge about Indian companies primarily in the ICT space with a focus on emerging technologies of AI/Machine Learning/Robotics & Automation.

An ability to think on their feet and spot interesting opportunities in other areas including green investments will be important.

Minimum 10 years’ working experience, either in India or abroad.

Desired qualifications

Experience from a foreign-owned company and/or from living in Europe is an advantage.

Proven record of top-selling and executing advisory or consulting service is an advantage.

Understanding of Digital marketing and the ability to use innovative ways to build and maintain a pipeline of companies will be an added advantage.

Minimum 10 years’ working experience, either in India or abroad.

The position requires business travel within India and abroad.

Employment conditions

  • You will be offered full time employment on a local contract for an initial duration of one year with the possibility of extension for one more year subject to satisfactory performance during an initial 3 months’ probationary period.
  • Your salary will be based on standard entry level and will reflect your qualifications, relevant experience and proven work-related results in accordance with the Salary Policy of the Embassy.
  • Medical coverage (80:20, where 80% of the medical expenditure is reimbursed by the Mission). 
  • As part of your salary you will be enrolled in the EPF-scheme.
  • You will be entitled to 25 days of paid leave per full year of work (2.08 days earned per month)
  • Communication equipment incl. mobile device needed in order to carry out the position.
