The Consulate in Bangalore is seeking to recruit a locally employed Export Advisor to cover the Energy sector, with particular focus on Renewable Energy. You will play a consulting role and help Danish organizations enter and grow on the Indian market and act as a trusted advisor in the go-to-market strategy process. Performance of the role will include achievement of billable hours. 

Focus will be on B2B sales and you should have a solid understanding of business as well as building and driving high-level projects, including preparation and presentation of reports. We expect that you understand how business is generally carried out in India and that you can demonstrate skills of developing lasting business relationships. You will be covering the whole of India and will thus travel frequently in India as well as to Denmark.

As a person, you are collaborative by nature, out-going and analytical and you master attention to details without losing sight of the overall business perspective. 

You will act under the duties of The Danish Trade Council Umbrella, acting under the newly established diplomatic entity, General Consulate of Denmark in Bangalore.

In this role, you will also join the South Asia Energy Team, which jointly is measured by KPI’s including income as well as customer value and quality targets. 

Main tasks and responsibilities as Export Advisor:

•   Matching commercial opportunities in India with Danish industry competences

•   Lead generation - Danish companies within your sector

•   Sales of consultancy services to Danish companies in the Energy sector

• Executing the sold services – such as market surveys, general market information and commercialization advice, strategic sparring, partner identification (Agents, Distributors, Suppliers), company establishment, marketing activities, information gathering on import regulations, customs, etc., planning and executing sector delegation visits.

Required qualifications:

•   Graduate +MBA (Preferred)
•   In-depth knowledge of the Energy sector. The main focus is Renewable Energy
•   5-8 years’ experience in consultancy or B2B, alternatively proven track record of sales to related sector
•   Experience from a consulting role involving market research would be a major advantage.

Employment conditions:
•   13th month salary and performance bonus according to the Schemes of the Ministry on individual and team targets. 
•   12% EPF equally contributed by the employee
•   Communication equipment incl. mobile device needed in order to carry out the role 
•   Medical coverage incl. insurance for self, spouse and children under 21 years of age; 80% of the medical expenditure is reimbursed by the Consulate. If spouse is working and has own insurance, the Consulate will not cover. 
•   Standard working hours of 37 hours per week, including paid lunch break of 30 min per day
•   You will be entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year
