The Embassy is seeking to recruit a locally employed Trade Advisor to cover the Health and Life science sector, with particular focus on Life Science . You will play a consulting role and help Danish organizations enter and grow on the Indian market and act as a trusted advisor in the go-to-market strategy process. Performance of the role will include achievement of billable hours.

You probably hold a relevant Masters degree and possess a strong background from related industry. Preferably with at least 5-8 years of in-depth experience from business development and sales in the Health and Life science sector. Experience from a consulting role involving market research would be a major advantage.

Focus will be on B2B sales and you should have a solid understanding of business as well as building and driving high-level projects, including preparation and presentation of reports. We expect that you understand how business is carried out in India and that you can demonstrate skills of developing lasting business relationships. You will be covering the whole of India and will thus travel frequently in India, the region as well as to Denmark.

As a person you are collaborative by nature, out-going and analytical and you master attention to details without loosing sight of the overall business perspective.

In this role you will also join the regional South Asia health and life science team, which jointly is measured by KPI’s including income as well as customer value and quality targets.

Main tasks and responsibilities as Export Advisor

  • Matching commercial opportunities in India with Danish industry competences.
  • Lead generation - Danish companies within your sector.
  • Sales of consultancy services to Danish companies in the Health and Life science sector.
  • Executing the sold services – such as market surveys, general market information and commercialization advice, strategic sparring, partner identification (Agents, Distributors, Suppliers), company establishment, marketing activities, information gathering on import regulations, customs, etc., planning and executing sector delegation visits.

Required qualifications

  • Graduate +MBA (Preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of the Indian Health and Life Science sector.
  • 5-8 years’ experience in consultancy or B2B, alternatively proven track record of sales to related sector.

Employment conditions

  • You will be offered full time permanent employment on a local contract based on the relevant legally binding labour market rules of India.
  • Standard working hours are 37 hours per week.
  • You will be entitled to 25 days of paid holiday per year.
    • 13th month salary and performance bonus according to the Schemes of the Ministry on individual and team targets.
  • Your salary will reflect your qualifications, relevant experience and proven work-related results in accordance with the Salary Policy of the Embassy.
  • As part of your salary you will be enrolled in the EPF-scheme.
  • Medical coverage (80:20, where 80% of the medical expenditure is reimbursed by the Embassy).
