AN EMERGING ECONOMY
Sri Lanka is an economy in transition. Over the last ten years, the purchasing power parity has doubled and the economic growth is expected to reach 7 per cent this year.

With regard to the energy resources Sri Lanka is blessed with several types of renewable energy resources making biomass, hydro power, solar and wind widely used to supply the energy requirements of the country. In order to sustain the pace of development it is crucial that a sustainable and efficient water supply is available. 85 % of the population has now access to safe water but improvements in the water sector are highly demanded.

Deadline for binding registration is Thursday 15 September 2016.
