The Embassy is seeking to recruit a locally employed Export Advisor to cover the Transport Sector. We are looking for a person who is flexible, out-going as well as an analytical and detail-oriented team player. The candidate should have 6-8 years of in-depth experience in business development and sales within the Transport sector and have a relevant Master’s degree. Focus will be on B to B sales and the candidate should have a good understanding of business and projects, including preparation and presentation of reports. The candidate should understand how business is generally carried out in India and should possess the skills of developing good relationships and networking. The candidate will be covering the whole of India and will thus travel frequently in India as well as to Denmark.

The Danish Trade Council in India assists Danish companies and organisations and government in promoting Danish business ties with India. Assistance is provided to Danish companies/organisations both on an individual and joint export promotion basis. The Danish Trade Council is guided by a mission statement and activities are measured on a balanced scorecard including income target as well as customer value and quality targets.

Main tasks and responsibilities as Export Advisor
• Matching opportunities in India with Danish company competences
• Lead generation with Danish companies
• Sales of consultancy services to Danish companies in the Transport sector
• Executing the sold services – market surveys, general market information and advice, strategic sparring, partner identification (Agents, Distributors, Suppliers), company establishment, marketing activities, gathering information on import regulations, customs, etc., planning and executing sector delegation visits.

Required professional experience
• In-depth knowledge of the Transport sector. The main focus areas are maritime, airports and infrastructure.
• Proven track record in sales
• 6-8 years’ experience in consultancy or B2B
• Master’s degree with relevance for the Transport sector

• The individual is proactive and self-motivated to meet the service level agreed with the customers
• Real team player
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good presentation skills
• Ability to understand the business opportunity for a given product, service or technology in India.
• Open minded to new ideas, information sources and business opportunities.
• Flexible work attitude (time & tasks)
