Country Manager for Bluetown in New Delhi

BLUETOWN’s solutions also include the BLUETOWN Local Cloud that provides end-users with access to verified e-Health, e-Learning, agricultural e-Content, entertainment, and more.

The job
As the Country Manager, you will be involved in the implementation of the country specific strategy and planning. This includes building the business (sales, Internet, content services), ensuring needed planning and execution, and recruitment to build an effective team during large scale ramp-up of BLUETOWN local activities in order to deploy thousands of Wi-Fi Hot Spots across India. Critical also to ensure that local activities comply with BLUETOWN standards, ethics, and guidelines.

The Country Manager will also be responsible for:

• Establishing and maintaining strong partnerships
• Overall country budgeting and cash flow
• Handle media and commercial aspects
• Support the manufacturing of BLUETOWN products in India and export to projects globally
• Support to BLUETOWN projects in neighboring countries

It will be key to ensure close and transparent cooperation across the organization including the commercial, technical, and operational departments, as well as with suppliers and BLUETOWN HQ.

Become a key person in a developing industry
Our business is growing rapidly in the Indian market, as well as in the neighboring countries, and we are therefore looking for a person who can handle the large responsibility that comes with it. To fill the position, you should be a natural leader, have good interpersonal and presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally both orally and in writing. It is furthermore important that you can interact with people from different countries and cultures and that you can manage a busy environment even with a lot on your plate. You should also be ready to travel to our HQ in Copenhagen, all parts of India, and neighboring countries.

Required qualifications
Besides the above-mentioned skills, the following qualifications are required:

• 15+ years of experience from similar positions, preferably from a project-based international organization dealing with telecommunication or IT in larger scale
• Strong business and commercial understanding
• Strong execution and people management skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Strong English skills (verbal and written)
• Technical Graduate preferably in Electronics and Communications

It is further an advantage if you have:
• General supply chain insight and experience
• General technical understanding
• Skilled within IT tools, Project planning, Microsoft Excel, incl. formulas, charts and pivot tables
• Financial education or MBA is an advantage
