Residence Permits From Nepal To Be Sent To New Delhi After 1st September 2017

On the 1st September 2017, the Danish Embassy in New Delhi will start receiving residence permit applications from Nepal. Despite upcoming changes in visa procedures, applying will still take place in Kathmandu. Due to this year’s closure of the Danish Embassy in Nepal, residence permits and visa cases regarding visits to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Estonia will be forwarded from Nepal to the respective Embassies in New Delhi. Applications will continue to be received and handed out in Kathmandu at the Visa Application Centre operated by VFS Global in Kathmandu, Nepal.
 
See the change of issuance locations and dates for when changes will become effective listed below:

  • As per 1st of August 2017, visa issuance for travellers going to Denmark, Sweden and Estonia will take place at the Swedish Embassy in New Delhi.
  • As per 1st of September 2017, issuance of visa and resident permits going to Norway will take place at the Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi.
  • As per 1st of September 2017, issuance of resident permits to Denmark will take place at the Danish Embassy in New Delhi.
  • As per 1st of September 2017, visa issuance for travellers going to Iceland will take place at the Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi.
